PLANNED GIVING – LEAVE A LEGACY OF COMPASSION

“There are many homeless and abandoned animals that deserve care, respect and attention. They need both a voice and a protector. The Fredericton SPCA staff and  volunteers selflessly fulfill this role. But they cannot do it alone.”

Why we support the Fredericton SPCA through Planned Giving (By John Booker)John Booker

Hearing about abused, abandoned and neglected animals brings tears to our eyes. These  helpless creatures are often subject to this fate through no fault of their own. These beings cannot speak or fend for themselves.

The Fredericton SPCA provides a vital service to our community. In an ideal world there would be no need for an SPCA. We do not live in an ideal world. Because of this, we want to ensure that the Fredericton SPCA always exists. All animals deserve the same care and respect that our beloved cat Rose does, whether they have a home or not.

That is why we support the Fredericton SPCA through Planned Giving

Providing food, shelter, love, attention and medical care to our less-fortunate four-legged friends comes at a dear cost. Because of this the FSPCA is always in need of additional continuous financial support. Planned giving allows the Fredericton SPCA to make long range plans for their future. We want to be a part of that.

That is why we support the Fredericton SPCA through Planned Giving

Our first planned giving initiative for the Fredericton SPCA was started back in 1990. The Fredericton SPCA is the owner and beneficiary of a secondary life insurance policy. We pay  the premiums on their behalf and receive an annual tax benefit. Our second planned gift to the FSPCA has been arranged through our wills. On our deaths  our home and personal property will be sold, all assets will be converted to cash and the Fredericton SPCA will inherit a large portion of our estate proceeds.

Our lasting legacy will see the Fredericton SPCA through tomorrow and many tomorrows  after that. Although we cannot put a price on the pleasure, companionship and unconditional love our cat Rose has provided us over the years, we can recognize her impact on our lives and we have – through planned giving.

My wife and I have made our commitment. Please consider yours.

WHAT IS PLANNED GIVING?

Planned giving is simply planning now to make a financial gift in the future for the work of an organization. This gift could take the form of a bequest, gift annuity or life insurance.

The Fredericton SPCA would be pleased to work with you and your financial advisor to design a plan that benefits the society, maximizes your tax benefit and meets your philanthropic goals.
